Sam Cox Band was formed in 2012, immediately after high school graduation. Between the years of 2012 and 2015, SCB released two albums and played well over 1000 shows all over the United States.

“Stay”, released in 2012, reached #1 on the Music City Top 40 Chart. Sam Cox Band’s front man, Sam, has performed and worked with artists such as Brandon Jenkins, Mike McClure, Trace Adkins, JB and the Moonshine Band, Micky and the Motorcars, and members of Reckless Kelly and Turnpike Troubadours.

Between the years of 2016 and 2019, Sam toured with the band Ragland. Along with 4 albums, Ragland achieved 3 Top 40 hits on the Texas/Red Dirt Charts (TRRR) and was nominated for “Duo/Group” of the year for the TRRR Music Awards in 2019.

"Losing Someone" the lead single from the new SCB album "Lost Years" was released to radio and streaming in October of 2020 and is currently sitting in the Top 100 of the TRRR Charts, Texas Country Music Charts, CDX (Nashville) and the Texas Music Picker's Spotify Chart.

A New SCB record is set to release in the early part of 2021. SCB looks forward to heavily touring on new music.
